This is a branch of Wetherspoons so you know you will get great pub food at reasonable prices and cheap drinks too. Plenty of choices of beers from all over the place including real ales. There were a little crowd of hardened drinkers in here when I went in for lunch, but I think you get that in any all day, cheap drink pub! The pub is named because it used to be the local post office.

A great wetherspoons on the edge of beeston town centre. cheap drinks and food and lots of places to sit for big groups make this a great place to visit.

A typical Wetherspoons - you know what you get from the minute you walk in the door. Not badly decorated, if unimiginative, and very good for the 'beer and a burger' or 'theme nights'. That said, I always got the impression, as a student, that I was stepping into a 'local bar for local people' - everyone does tend to watch you walk in like it's a bad western.
If you can get past the paranoia, its one of the better pubs in Beeston for the type of thing it does. However, if you can get yourself into the centre, or even as far as Lenton, there's better for the same money.

Decent Wetherspoons, used to go for Curry Night (Thursday) a fair price for what you got £5-£7 for a bowl of curry, rice, naan and poppadom. Also pretty good atmosphere and IT box. Service was generally prompt however they do run out of alot of the curries especially as the night goes on so either order early or only expect the usual tikka masala rather than the lamb rogan josh.
