This is a huge railway station, compared to many other ones, and can be quite ocnfusing the first time you visit leeds.. as there are lots of exits/entrances! there are lots of places to eat and look around if you are waiting to catch a train or to be picked up. There is also a FREE bus, which takes you to the city centre, which i think is really good!!

This train station is really big but fairly easy to find you're way around. Its well sign posted and the staff are always happy to show people where to go. It can be a bit chilly on some of the platforms especially in winter. I regularly get trains here and have never had any problems. There are plenty of food stalls and a Marks and spencers to get food for a long journey. The bus links outside are good and getting a taxi is easy enough.

This is quite a large station, but then again, leeds is a large city. It can get very busy in peak rush hour times. It has lots of shops and places to eat at, such as Subway, Wetherspoons, Starbucks, and it has the usual shops like Boots and WHSmith, but it also has paperchase and body shop which are great places to pick up a last minute gift. The boards are well displayed and there is seating provided, although you do have to show your tickets befroe you can get to the pltform, which is a bit of a faff.

Leeds railway station is large, relatively clean and quite modern. There are a large number of cafes and fast food eateries, as well as two WH Smiths, cash points and even a small casino area. There are usually queues for the ticket windows, which are rarely all open at the same time, but there are a number of fast ticket machines that allow you to pick up pre-booked tickets without much of a queue. The toilets in the station do cost 20p, but they are maintained better than the free toilets on the platforms. I would advise against going onto the platforms a long time before catching your train - there is limited seating available, a small Starbucks and several newsagents, but the selection of shops is much better in the actual station itself. There is a pay and display short stay car park outside, which is useful for dropping people off, and a long stay multistory car park next to that, if you want to leave your car. Just make sure you get your ticket validated before leaving.

I'm not a big fan of Leeds train station. It is big, and has a few good shops/food places, but has several drawbacks. Firstly, they charge you 20p for the toilets in the main bit (although there are free toilets on the platforms) secondly, they take your tickets on the way out - I once spent a good five minutes having a debate with the guy collecting them, as I had a pre-ordered ticket for a train that had been cancelled, and as such had made me over two hours late - normally thetrainline.com (where I had ordered the ticket) would give you a full refund for this, but you needed the ticket to prove it, and the guy collecting tickets was VERY reluctant to give me mine back, despite the fact that it had been stamped and ripped, and could clearly not have been used again.
Another problem is that there isn't really much other than a small (and pricey) newsagent type shop on the actual platform, so if you're stuck waiting for ages between trains, you're going to get bored. The platform waiting rooms aren't up to much, and because of the strict ticket barrier, you can't get out onto the main area whilst waiting for a connection - as you can at places like Birmingham New Street.

Leeds train station is a large station in the centre of the city. Despite hundreds of people passing through the station it rarely feels busy, it has a number of shops and a few pubs if you fancy a drink while waiting. There are a number of screens located all around the station so it's not difficult to find out the information you need and the staff are on the whole friendly. You can catch trains from Leeds to basically anywhere in the country, making the station an invaluable part of the city.

Nice train statio here, a decent size not too nig or small and the staff are really helpful. There are some good shops, including a Waterstones and also Starbucks, a Wetherspoons etc. It's easy to know your destination from the large screens, and is easy to find, located just behind Brigatte.

Leeds train station is one of the major train stations in the country, with hundreds of people passing through it each day and trains serving all major routes round the UK. You'd think then that it'd be the usual overcrowded, busy, expensive place that many other trains stations are, but instead Leeds is well organised and reletively quiet. The station is a good size with a large seating area, many shops and cafes and two taxi areas. It's size and organisation means that it's much easier to find your train or information about travelling, which makes your journey a whole lot less stressful!

This is a really good train station, everything is well laid out and sign posted. There are always a queue of taxis waiting outside, so you don't have to wait for long. There are regular buses from here as well to places around Leeds, including Headingley. There are also stationery shops, a Boots and a few food places. I never have hassle going to this train station.
