This is the BEST movie site in the WORLD! Has biographies, TV and movie trivia, quotes, photos. Literally everything you will ever need. Within the last year and a bit, this has been a source of wisdom to settle questions (and arguments) between me and various friends! If theres anything about TV, movies or actors that you need to know, THIS is the site to try.

IMDB.com is THE place to go to settle friendly squabbles and arguements about who was in what film, which film won the oscar for best film in 19xx and so much more. IIf you've got a question relating to a film or TV series, then imdb.com is the place to find the answer. It's well laid out and easy to navigate and has a wealth of information to keep you entertained for hours.

This website is great if you want to look up a celebrity and find out more information about them. It tells you whether they have been in any films, where they were born, how old they are and so on. Also tells you when the latest filsm are coming out all around the world.

This website was only introduced to me a couple of years ago and I have used it so much ever since. It gives you so much information about movies from the plot, the characters to what else those characters have acted in. I am one of these people that always forget the name of the actual actors and then go on and try and explain the movie to someone else and you can never really do that properly unless you know the names of the actors! Great website for the likes of me!

Everyone does it, you are sitting watching tv or a film with someone and you recognise a face but you dont know where from, IMDB answers that for you, it tells you actors names, filmographies, you can look at individual films. Its a great source of information. As well as films you can look at TV programmes as well, its all available on there. If you are a member you can also participate is the the message boards and make comments. The film pages include lots of trivia on the programmes and even tell you goofs that have been made in the films. Along with all the other information youc ould need about the film it gives you reccomendation of other films you may like as well.

Often get that feeling when you should know someones name, but can't quite remember? I know i do. IMDB is the answer. Either search the film name, actor name or character name and you will get a bunch of accurate information. Whether it be the running time, quotes or a review... this site is really useful! You should bookmark it now!

This is a site with a really big database with all kinds of informations about many movies. Really good if you need information on something. The site is easy to use and the choice of advertising on there is good also.

Im forever on this website checking out new film release dates, and checking on progress of others.
They have a huge database of actors, actresses, directors, producers etc, so if you are in the TV and Film business then you can come here and look for someone to hire too.
We also use it a lot, like the other reviewers have mentioned, to check someone if we recognise them briefly from something else and cant remember their name - and also to settle arguements like nixxie said!
They have a very active forum and lots of pictures of the actors etc.
If you are in the business then you can also add a profile for yourself to try and get some work.
This is a very very useful website in my opinion.
They also have information on upcoming console and pc games, so its not just based around the TV and Film industry.
There is also a showtime and tickets section - but this is only of use to people in America.

I don't know what I would do without this site!! I drive my husband mad when we are watching TV or a film and i see someone familiar. I cannot enjoy the movie, I just sit there racking my brains and annoying him until I can figure it out. I cannot settle until I have logged on and looked where else they are from!! Also it helps settle arguements when I say "she is from so and so" and he says "no she isn't". we bicker for a while until IMDb comes into use again and I can gloat my glory in his face!! Ha!!
It is also useful to keep track of TV seasons, which episodes are airing when and which order they are in. As well aas having some good discussion forums.

Has a good range of stats and figures, cast lists, trivia and other information about thousands of films and other visual media. It's tremendously helpful for media and film students and is a trustable source for dates etc. There is also a community although the layout of the forums is a tad irritating. It makes you list one post at a time and it gets very dull very quickly. A great site though.
