Review
I've had only negative experiences with this employment agency. I moved back to Devon from Manchester about two and a half years ago and I registered with them for some temp to perm work. I spent over an hour enduring an interview and two typing tests. They said that I would be suitable for about eight different jobs availiable and that they'd call me the following day. I'm still waiting.
Thankfully I found a permanent job a few days later. I feel that they like to make people jump through hoops. Whilst I was there several people popped in to ask if they had any vacancies suitable and each time they'd say "No nothing yet sorry" and as soon as the person had left they'd make a joke of it. It's bizarre.

Response from the business
I feel that this is a great shame that you have experienced such service. It is not what Blue Arrow is about and how they operate. In September last year I joined the company as the manager of the Exeter branch. I have built a team around me that puts customer service first and there has been dramatic change.
This review focusses on an experience that is now three years old and in that time the entire company has shown year on year growth winning new customers and keeping old ones as we have moved along. I am sure that if you were to meet with us again you would be impressed with how we operate and what we could do for you as a valued customer.
Finding the right position for your career is never a joke and we are here to help you should you ever need it.
Yours Sincerely,
David Fisher

This is the key to making the best of review communities...
"I don't want to see negative reviews of our business"
No business is perfect, even the most cynical customer understands that. The key is 'how does the business respond?' Customers will use businesses that face up to negative reviews. Explain what you did/are doing to address any criticism, politely address errors of fact or perception in the review. It is an accepted tenet of good business practice to address customer complaints openly and positively; web 2.0 and HelpHound enable businesses to demonstrate their willingness to do this publicly
"What prevents our competitors posting fake reviews of our business?"
HelpHound has some of the most advanced technology yet designed to weed out the 'fake review'. Our Weighted RatingTM technology will minimise the impact of any single review. Our 'report this review' system allows you, or any member, to draw our attention to any review for whatever reason. Our moderators are trained to spot suspect reviews (including 'self reviews'!) and we will not hesitate to remove reviews we consider illegitimate. We have a 'two strikes' rule which states that any business member who, in our opinion, posts illegitimate reviews about their own, or any other business, will be removed permanently from HelpHound
"How do we prevent a dissatisfied customer from having a disproportionate effect on our rating?"
HelpHound rates the reviewer as well as the business being reviewed. Simply put, if a member posts one negative review their Weighted RatingTM will be very low. If a reviewer posts many reviews, of all kinds, their rating will be high. In exactly the same way a business with many positive reviews from 'active' HelpHounders will have their rating only minimally affected by a single negative from a relatively inactive HelpHounder
The simple answer to the questions posed above is to encourage your satisfied customers to post reviews
The Bottom Line
Your business will receive reviews. The only question is how pro-actively you respond to them, and interact with your reviewers (who will be both existing and prospective customers). HelpHound is not just a 'consumer' community. We are a community of consumers and businesses. Our ethos of 'Help Others, Help Yourself' applies to both
