Paris
"Ah Paris, the city of love. The perfect destination to whisk your better half off to for a weekend as an extra special Valentine's surprise! There are so many lovely things to do and see, why not start the trip in style and get acquainted with the beautiful city in style by taking a boat trip along the Seine with Bateaux - Mouches. They run until 9pm at this time of year so you could even end your day in perfect Parisian elegance. Speaking of elegance, make sure you don't miss out on a visit to Mini Palais Restaurant for a light bite for lunch and then push the boat out and have dinner in Café de l'Esplanade and experience the elegant Parisian décor and atmosphere. On the subject of food, Le Café Marly I hear is a must; this uber chic café over looks the glass Pyramid in the courtyard of the Musée du Louvre and apparently is quite the place to be seen, so don't forget your neck scarves, red lippy and oversized sunglasses! If you fancy a bit of culture, then Opera Bastille with it's contemporary settings and great atmosphere is a great place to start. Like shoes? Well why not try Thierry 21 they have 11 stores in Paris, so no matter where you are, there's no excuse that your man can possible think up to avoid a 'quick' browse. Don't know where to stay? Well why not take Minno's advice and stay at La Louisiane, situated on the Left Bank surrounded by restaurants and bakeries, see if you agree that it's Paris' "best kept secret".
