Jo Malone
"Jo Malone products are heavenly...especially their scented candles, their soaps, body lotions and skin care products. What nicer surprise than to receive a beautifully wrapped gift from them in their distinctive cream and black packaging. It's all very expensive, but worth it for that special present." Madeleine

L'Artisan du Chocolat
"I have been lucky enough to be given - twice in one month, and by different friends, - boxes of the really superb chocolates from l'Artisan du Chocolat. They are absolutley delicious and have a range of unusual flavours. They do look rather expensive, but worth it for that special gift." Madeleine

"Hotel Chocolat is a chocoholic's paradise! They stock a wide range of chocolates from all over the world in varying styles and flavours. My personal favourites include their dark jamaican rum, their strawberry and cream and for something a little interesting try their dark chilli chocolate. When I'm feeling a little glutonous, I go for truffles!" mfbx6ds7

Firebox

A little something spectacular...

Ardanaiseig Hotel
"Ardanaiseig has to win prizes for being in the most beautiful and romantic setting, and for that I can't recommend it enough. It is a large typically Scottish grand house, sitting on the banks of Loch Awe with a backdrop of mountains, and surrounded by the most glorious gardens and woods. It has it's own jetty and you can go out in a boat of the loch. The hall and public rooms of the hotel are elegant but cosy, the bedrooms likewise, and there is a recently added 'boathouse suite' right on the loch. Simply spectactular. Judging by it's website, the prices aren't too high for a luxury hotel, and I can think of nowhere nicer to go to escape for a heavenly romantic stay. A must." Madeleine
