I live a distant from Peterborough but visit there quite regular, the transport system is brilliant and id highly recommend that istead of a car sa the traffic can
be quite heavy at times, There are many retail parks and lots on offer, The train station is rather small but serves it purpose,
There is also peterborough dogs which is a good night out and also not expensive. The town centre is very popular for
Shopping and has many shops for everyone taste.
The night life is good and of course there is plenty of cheap hotels around if you need to stay over.

Peterborough is a lovely city and has alot of parks and trees and i feel is one of the greener citys.Having studied at Peterborough colledge myself i know that it is an easy 10 miute walk from the city.If you dont like walking there are plenty of buses and also the trainstation. The train station and bus station is located next to both the shopping centre and Peterborough district hospital. The shopping centre is large with plenty of shops to visit and has ahuge multistory parking facility, which is both quick and easy to get to.Peterborough is also home to the giant superstore kiddicare which has just been rebuilt and is fantastic and i would definatley recommend visiting if you have small children. Its also home to ToysRus and tescos which is fantastic to shop in.I always go to Peterbourgh to do my Christmas shopping.
Peterborough is one of my regular shopping haunts because it has loads of shops! You could easily spend the day here if you hadn''t been here before. There is a large shopping centre called Queensgate with all of the usual department stores of popular shops on offer. Spread over two floors and a cafe of the third, it really will keep shopaholics amuzed for hours. There are plenty of street shops also around the centre alongside some seasonal market stalls from time to time. They often have a merry go round for the children and ice scating in the centre at christmas time.
Peterborough has a good night life, cinema, and cafe culture also. Generally there really is something for everybody in and around Peterborough and with excellent road networks it''s really easy to get into also.

The arcitecture is wonderful and theer are some amazing buildings in the city centre and if you fancy it you can go on ghost walks which are brilliant .
The central park is also fantastic (can you tell I love peterbrough?) with its sunken garden and also the sensory garden with smells and textures its wonderful. There are bowling greens and a childrens park they also have activities such as a teddy bears picnic !!! which are fab as long as the weather holds .
Also there are wonderful pubs , clubs and restuarants for everyone from posh bars to spit and sawdust !!
Peterborough is easy to get around with prams and buggies although it is very tempting to ram a few ankles on the way round .
The people are friendly and happy to give directions .

Peterbourgh is a city in the east anglia region. It has a good multi efnic community. This reflects in the restraurants around peterbourgh, you can get any sort of food here including turkish, greek, polish and italian and a whole lots more. It has a great shopping centre which lots of different clothes stores and department shops plus other places to shop. It has a good market area just out of the shopping centre plus lots of high street shops too.
Peterbourgh has a great cathedral which was first built in 655AD and after being knocked down, rebuilt and then fire damaged it was again rebuilt between the 12th and 13th century. it holds lots of different services and is open to the public, it really is a worth while trip into peterbourgh just to see this. Local schools visit this cathedral and when i was at school i found it very interesting to go and view it.
It has its own football team, The Posh which is doing quite well at the moment, they have a good little growns in peterbourgh and do a under 18''s team too. It has a great railway service which does major interchanges with some express trains. It does direct trains to london kings cross and up to birmingham. They also go to stansted, cambridge, leicester and norwich. you can even visit Thomas the tank engine when in peterbourgh he only lives round the corner from the main train station and santa visits around december time.
