Truro is the only major city in Cornwall, and as such is seen as the hub of activity for most things. If you''re living in southern Cornwall and you want to go to a gig or see a film then Truro was the place to go. It has a fairly large town centre, with the catherdral being central to that. Altho it''s not as large as some city centres, but it does have a fair amount going on and has quite a few shops and places to eat.
the town is split into two main sections, with the older section blending into the newer builds.
over the last few years there has been some welcome redevelopment, with the building of a new bus station and the flagship marks and spencers store for the region. Truro has a lot to offer, with the Hall for Cornwall hosting lots of shows and live gigs. It''s not the big time, but it''s a fun time, and if you''re visiting the area i''d reccomend you''d take a look - it has a lot of hidden gems which are well worth discovering.

Truro is the capital of the county of Cornwall, It is a small place city compared to others and most think of it as more of a town.
It has a large variety of shops and banks and lots of little quirky shops down tiny cobbled alleyways. There are several different long/short stay car parks and a busy bus station with regular buses to most local locations. The train station is about a 10 minute walk from the town centre. It is a friendly laid back town with nice restaurants and cafe''s. It also has a retail park on the outskirts with a matalan, jjb sports comet and many more.

For cornwall''s standard Truro is large, with a wide selection of shops, several carparks at all ends of the town. Can get very busy. Lots of very nice cafes/ restaurants to eat at.

Not a bad little town. We went into Truro from Newquay to go the cinema and had a little wander round whilst there. The town has a nice laid back feel to it, the people are friendly and there''s a good range of shops. It''s not overly large, and getting there and back is a bit of a mission as the buses aren''t that regular.
