ballymoney is a lovely place and the hmetown of joey dunlop and family whos lifes belong to motorbikes his memorial garden is a lovely place with a statue of a bike there is a nice little shopping place here too

Ballymoney is such a lovely part of Northern Ireland. I recently went here on holiday with my family for the main reason of going to the home town of Joey Dunlop, one of the worlds greatest roadracers. If you are a fan of the roadracing then you will not be dissapointed. Firstly you notice the memorial garden which houses the Joey statue and other tributes. Down the road is Joeys Bar which again is run by the Dunlop family and is a tribute to Joey. Further into Ballymoney is a lovely little shopping area. There are loads of little shops here and one thing that strikes you is how lovely and clean it is around there. The local people really take pride in their town and this is very obvious. Another thing is that the local people are the nicest people you could ever meet, they are so welcoming and polite. There are some lovely views around Ballymoney, and although this is not a very big place ther is loads to see. Most of the place is surrounded by the most beautiful countryside and although it looks like quite an industrial town there are some beautiful houses!!! If you are ever in Northern Ireland then you must at least drive through Ballymoney and you will definately be positively surprised.
