One of the best historical sites in Ireland..... the hinterland of the St Patrick legend and with so much to see in the town and surrounding area. Down Cathedral, Down Arts Centre, Saint Patrick Centre, Downpatrick Railway Museum and Down County Museum are all worth a visit. With lots of camping sites and guest houses its a fantastic base to visit the Mourne Mountains.
