We have stayed in Budleigh Salterton, in Devon on holiday. It was a great holiday, it is situated on lovely beaches, in an area called East Devon Area of Natural Beauty. You have the beginnings of the Jurassic Coast.

There is a large population (around 5000) so there are shops in the high street for holiday maker or someone who lives there:

Gift shops, bakers, butchers, fishmonger, greengrocer, off licence, chemist etc. Farmers Markets are also held regularly.

It is on the mainline train lines from Paddington and Waterloo.

There are lots of places to eat, either take aways or good restaurants. There are lots of places to stay from self catering to camping to bed and breakfast.
