I visited Ferndown whilst on holiday in the area as some family freinds lived here. The town has a small selection of shops to wander around but no major ones. There really is not a lot to do around here at all except admire the scenery. There is a nice woodland area to take a walk in, but not really a lot else. Ferndown would be a great area to live in for the elderly as it is peaceful and quiet, but that is literally all!!

Im slightly biased because my grandparents live here so i love it! Spent a lot of my childhood visitng and the high street has recently been redone and now has some good local shops. This area does seem to be more suitable for the retired as there isnt really a lot going on. There are some gorgeous woodlands which are really lovely to walk through..but are better places in dorset. Not really the kind of place you go to unless you know someone, but for the elderly is a lovely place to live.
