Dalbeattie is a town about 15 miles southwest of Dumfries.
The small town is lovely and quaint with most houses and buildings built with local granite. Dalbeattie offers lots of sport activities with tennis courts, a large recreational park, golf courses, walks and fishing facilities in the area. It has a lovely swing park within the colliston park and a lake where you can take a boat out for a little sail something my kids love doing .Accommodation is made up of hotels and b&b and guest houses. There are many restaurants offering excellent food. Dalbeattie has a forest which offers nature trail walks and bike trails throughout the year many events take place in the forest.
