Lampeter isn''''t the most exciting place on earth. The town is built around the university which is one of the oldest in the country. The town is rather small being made up of only a few thousand people. Its location in the Teifi Vally is a very pretty one and the hills and rivers can be very beautiful. There are several pubs in town (and one just over the bridge in Cwmann which is the best of them), a few charity shops, several cafes, a couple of electrical stores and a chip shop. There is also a kebab house which has quite nice pizza. Outside of that list there is not a whole lot to say about the town. There are no really exciting shops or places to visit and the sheer distance to the nearest large town (Camarthen - About 20 miles away) coupled with the short bus hours means that travel is quite a problem unless you have a car. The petrol is also very expensive due to the town being somewhat cut off. You can go to the beach in Aberaeron quite easily but still there aren''''t many things to do there either. It is a beautiful place but it has no real buzz or soul and it''''s very hard to live there once you have lived somewhere more fun.
