Newcastle Emlyn is a rural market town on an old drovers route through mid-wales.It is a place of both history and beauty, with the old market hall hosting stalls of local produce, books and antiques. On the high street are a butchers, bakers , clothes shops an amazing toy shop amongst others. A lovely holiday feel to shopping here in summer, yet even out of season a quiet meander around town is relaxing. There are cafes pubs and tea rooms in the town, all of which are child freindly though access to some establishments require assistance due to narrow doorways.
At the rear of the town you can wander down and have a picnic by the teifi and the castle ruins.
A place that you can feel that you have stepped back in time, yet the busy road at peak times through it will remind you of the year!
Nearby are the picturesque cenarth falls and tea rooms, well worth a stop off and visit:)
