porthcawl is a lovely little seaside and has lots of things for the children to do when you go out to portcawl with them
the people that live in portcawl are really nice and polite and talk to you and your children with respect and ask you if you need any help to find any were for example if you dont know where you are going
this is a great day out for the family, a fantastic clean sandy beach with donkey rides and trampolines, an amusment park with rides for all ages and not too pricey (my opinion) burger king, chippys all the normal seaside eateries.
i''ve never had a problem with pay parking but i think it would be hard for free parking

A lovely place to go we live about half an hour away from there and we go there regulary the beach is lovely and there is a fair there to we also find ourselves looking round the market (stalls) which are right by the beach where theres lots of bargains. On the beach there is trampolines and your children can have donkey and horse rides. There is also great views around you and if you get hungry there is a burger king next to the beach to and you can get the dinky donughts. I definately recommend you visit this place.

Porthcawl is a lovelly little seaside town, it has a lovelly harbour and promenade, and in the summer months it is very popular with tourists. The town is quite old fashioned, and has a band stand and lots of little shops. There arent alot of large shops, the 2 biggest ones being woolworths and somerfield, but it does have a large amount of charity shops. The town has several pubs, and a few restaurants. All of which are fairly pleasant. There are 2 nightclubs, the most popular being streets, which is part of a hotel.
The main town is well maintained, and is pedestrainised most of the time. Shops are open monday to saturday, with a few open on a sunday. The best restaurant is the coast, this has won several awards, and is an upmarket restaurant, though recently has gone a little downhill.
There are 2 main carparks in the town, and these get very busy, but normally there are always spaces. The town also has a fun fair, this has been there for some time, and really needs doing up or pulling down. It is abit of an eyesore, but is popular with the children. There are 2 great fish and chip shops, finegans and beales. These are always busy and you must try them as they are the best around.
There are several schools in porthcawl, both primary and comprehensive, all are of a high standard.
Porthcawl in the winter time is quite quiet and you see alot of eldery, as there is alot of old peoples homes.
Recently there has been a worry about drugs in the town, though i have not noticed this myself
