Bury is a large town with a large shopping complex, plenty of places to eat and drink, and by far the best club in the area. Although Bury is undergoing some major work building a whole new complex which will include large shops, a cinema and much much more. Bury is known for the "World''s Famous Market" and "Bury''s Famous Black Pudding" where visitors come by the coach load to visit. And just a short distance from Bury Centre is Pilsworth Industrial Park which includes bowling alley, cinema, Frankie & Bennys and several other restuarants as well as a Wacky Warehouse for the children.

Generally Bury as a town is a great place. Could be better of course like most places really. But the town selection has a very large choice in shops with a nice atmosphere. There are areas of bury that could really use some work but on the whole is a nice town. A good selection (not great) of drinking establishments. A nice shopping mall that is very well staffed by security and cleaners.

I grew up in Bury and lived there until I was 15, now 15 years on how things have changed !! It is so much better here now firstly for the shopping, there are so many shops to choose from and really is something for everyone. Bury market is obviously very famous now and is brilliant to visit, there are so many great stalls. There are special coach trips from all over just to visit the market, there are lots of little cafes and restaurants to go to if you are spending quite some time here. The nightlife is also good, there are some really good pubs. The tram system is really good too and other towns and bigger cities are now so easy to get to from Bury. Travel prices are really not that bad. There are loads of smaller towns surrounding Bury and each of them are worth a look. Bury is such a big place and there are some lovely areas and also some really nice houses. The majority of people are really friendly and you could make some great friends here. Bury college is a great place to study and is right in the heart of the town centre. It is quite an industrial town and some areas do look in need of a tidy but overall this is a great place to live and work and I would recomend it to anybody.

Bury has a very good shopping precinct with a huge variety of shops for all needs!!I would be very surprised if you didn''t find what you needed whilst shopping in Bury! Also there is Bury''s world famous market which has many bargains to be found!! The nightlife is very good with a mix of age groups. However due to bury having numerous colleges and 6th forms there are quite a few 18+ bars and clubs. Recently when i have been out at night in Bury i have seen a few bits of trouble but nothing you don''t find in any other town. Bury also has a football team who are a good source of entertainment win or lose! I would recommend visitng Bury town centre as it is a nice environment and has plenty of shops!

Bury is pretty alright overall, there is enough to keep you occupied with the millgate shopping centre and some pubs and restaurants. Prices aren''t extortionate which good. I have been advised by my friend who lives there though to not attempt clubbing - i only went to pubs when I was there but really enjoyed that. It''s not overly pretty but has a nice town hall and I believe quite an interetsing history. Pretty close to manchester so it doesn''t matter about the clubs too much anyway.

Bury is a great place to go for many reasons and is much better than its neigboring town of rochdale. With its great shopping centres and retail parks, shopping here is really worth your while. With plans to add another retail park things are looking bright for bury. With the night life also a lot better than surounding areas apart from manchester Bury is very popular. Bury also consists of fantastic schools and colleges. With bury grammer school and bury church both really excellent schools and bury college having an outstanding ofsted report and holy cross the 8th best college in the country! Bury is a fantastic place to visit for many reasons and is very poopular amongst the public, and lastly bury houses "the best market in the world"! where you can find almost anything that ticcles your fansy. Also burys transport system is also very successful with its tram system and bus service both being very reliable traveling to most places including rochdale, heywood and manchester.

Bury is a very pleasant town compared to it''''s neighbouring town of Rochdale. It has many nice shops and millgate shopping centre is very pleasant place to walk around. There are plans to further the shops buildinga hole new outlet. Futhermore, Bury houses some of north wests best schools and colleges. Bury Grammar and Bury chruch being two of the best high school to attend and Bury College boasting an outstanding ofsted report, and holy cross sixth form being the 8th best in the hole of Britain!
Another thing Bury can boast is it''''s ''''worlds best market'''' situated on the same site for 600 years, the original license was granted bak in 1444! Overall Bury is a much more pleasant experience day and night: than most neighbouring towns such as Heywood or Rochdale, the nightlife is great, nearly topping a night out in the city of Manchester!

My nearest big town is Bury. It is pretty good for shops, with the Millgate and the market, aswell as the "industrial estate" type place with argos and tkmaxx! It has lots of places to eat, including a Frankie and Bennys, a Pizza hut and a Chiquitos out on the Pilsworth industrial estate. It has a few large parks, including Burrs (spelling?) which is great for country walks. The people themselves are generally friendly, however after having a decent amount of places to compare Bury to I have found it is quite overrun with chavs, and the Millgate is best avoided on a weekend when all the highschool children are there. Bury also has two colleges, Holy Cross and Bury College aswell as Bury Grammar School. It has a large bus station and is easily accessible, and it also has a metrolink with trams every few inutes to Manchester, which is great for times when Bury is overrun with school children! Bury also has a leisure centre, however the pool there is not the most pleasent, although it is very large, and the baths also house a diving pool and a baby pool. Overall Bury is a nice place to go shopping, as long as you choose the right time, but I wouldn''t like to live in the actual town. Im very happy living in the Bury district.

I currently live in bury and I quite like it - it''s got a really good metro link to manchester for when bury just isn''t big enough. The town centre is fairly nice with a large "millgate" shopping centre with loads of little shops and some places for food. Bury has its fair share of pubs including a large Wetherspoons and there''re also loads of take aways such as second base and dixy''s chicken. Unfortunately the clubbing scene is pretty non-existant - the main club is Sol Viva and isn''t really worth going to. Instead, manchester''s only 20-30 minutes away! :-) Bury also has a fair share of gyms with JJB and Silver''s.

Generally a lovely place to visit - especially on a nice, sunny day. There's obviously Bury's 'World Famous' Market as one of the main attractions to Bury and it welcomes millions of visitors a year (including both Jeremy Kyle and Gok Wan) making it one of the top places i'd recommend you visit on a trip there. A further plus of Bury is it's connection to Manchester and further places such as Eccles via tram which runs pretty much every 10 minutes. My tram experience has been 99% positive but i would advise to take care when travelling late at night on it.
Finally, Bury has a good range of shops to visit such as Topshop, Home Bargins, Farmfoods, Boots, Next, New Look, Oasis, Waterstones, BHS etc. Pretty much every shop you ccould think of is in Bury or a short 20 min tram journey away in Manchester.
