Chepstow is just over the border from England and is the first welsh town you come across on the A48 road from Gloucester. The town is built on a hill and the town centre is small. There are two supermarkets a somerfield and a much bigger tesco which is by the main road and near the train station which has linksto Newport and Gloucester. The town centre has a wilkinsons, peacocks, wh smith and the rest are little local shops. But there is all national banks located in the centre also. The main attraction in Chepstow is the racecourse which hosts the Welsh national every year but also host a market every sunday. There is also a leisure centre situated next to the school which has a pool, gym and also has a number of class running there. There is plenty of pubs in chepstow and some nice take aways. There is also Chepstow castle which has some great views from its peaks and is a nice day out if the weather is nice. Chepstow is also where the first severn bridge is built so its not to far from Bristol and the M4 and M5 but remember to pay the 5.30 car toll charge when you come back across.
