OK, I would not live in Camden but I really do love to visit it. Reason not to live here - this area of London gets so busy (especially on a Sunday) that the tube station has to be closed. I really could not be bothered fighting through hoards of people just to get a loaf of bread. TIP - if the tube station is closed, Chalk Farm and Mornington Crescent are very nearby.
By day, there is loads to do. Lots of great shops, the market and then the Lock. (Another tip - if you need to get cash, get it before you arrive, otherwise you are in for a big wait at the cash machines.) Lots of places to eat and drink.
Camden is a fantastic place to visit at night. Loads of pubs, clubs and venues. The World's End is just opposite the station and has The Underworld attached to it. If you like Indie music this is the place to be.
As well as music venues, Camden is also home to Jongleurs.
Well worth a visit any time of the day.

Camden is a great place. Its easy to get to via Tube, Train or car. There are lots of places to eat. During the day there are many people who like to buy from the shops which sell a host of things from trainers to ash trays! Camden is well known for it Tatto and Piercing shops and there are two well known Parlours in the middle. Camden by Night is excellent. There are always people out and about in the Pubs and Bars. Camden has a cinema and is also home of The Jazz Cafe which has many great acts!

Camden is a brilliant place to live and to visit. It is steeped in rich cultural heritage and itts a mecca for new music , independent fashion and innovative arts and design, it is a most visited destination in London. The closest you can get to a yearlong Glastonbury. There are Art galleries, museums, design studios and small parks. Youure never far from a pub in Camden Town. A tantalising smorgasbord of tastes, Camden Town is a worldwide tour in a mouthful. Camden Town has played host to both the rise of Punk and Brit Pop, and more recently the rise and rise of bands including Amy Winehouse, Kate Nash, The Enemy and The Kooks.

Camden town is a brilliant place to visit but a bit on the expensive side in my view. The market is not very good and the qaulity of things is very poor for the astonishing prices they charge. The atmosphere in the area is great and the people are very friendly. There is some lovely little cafes and resturants which provide some wonderful food but they are costly. There is lots of shops selling vintage clothes and also hippy clothes. The tube brings you straight into camden centre and its linked to all the major stations.Camden has lots of tattoo studios and there work is to a very high standard and the prices are very reasonable. The market is great and has some fantastic stalls with a large amount of things like clothes, jewellery and even canabis, but do be careful as the stall owners can be very pushy and will try there best to rip you off.I would say its not a very good place to bring little ones up as the area is so busy. The area is not really a safe place to walk around alone of a night because it dos have a lot of drug dealers about.

camden town is a fantastic area for tourists and locals alike, there are many highstreet shops and services in camden town including shoe and clothing shops, newsagents, toy shops, banks, cafes restaurants and the like. there is also i huge outdoor street market in camden town. the stalls and shops in the markets sell mostly clothes, shoes, acsessories, jewlery, gifts and souvenires. some of the prices on the market are a little overpriced however most stall/shop owners are happy to haggle so its a great place to find yourself a bargain. bargains are worth hunting for in camden town as alot of the stalls sell the same or similar items so if you cant find what you want for a low enough price at one stall its worth having a look around to see if you can get it cheaper somewhere else. there are alot of tattoo and body peircing studios in camden town and again it is worth having a look around to find the best place at the best price. i would personally reccomend "cold steel" for body peircing. camden town has a great atmosphere and is favoured by all.

camden town is a good tourist area with a fun and attractive atmosphere. camden is full of high street shops as well as cafes and restaurants and also is home to a large outdoor street market which sells mostly clothing, acsessories, bags, shoes, cds, dvds, jewlery and canabis paraphenalia (if thats your sort of thing). Camden town aslo has lots of peircing and tattoo studios to choose from and most are of a high standard. although i enjoy visiting camden town i fell that alot of the market owners price their products unresonably high and if you plan on visiting camden be aware of people trying to rip you off. on the plus side though camden is a good place to haggle to get a good bargain. one of the other downsides of camden town is that it is often a hotspot for drug dealers however i have never personally encountered any.

Camden is a really hip and happening place. I have been on 3 occasions and although i really enjoyed myself and think the place is great, Im not sure i''d want to live there. The shops and stalls are amazing. I love camden market for the very hippy feel to it and the amazing clothes, shoes, posters etc. It is a very rock/metal scene place which really appeals to me, but may not to some people. The stall holders can be really pushy, you have to be able to stand up for yourself or they will convince you to buy from them even if you didn;t want anything in the first place! I have also been to the club there "The Electric Ballroom" to see a band called King Adora and it was amazing! A gorgeous club, with brilliant decor and i loved the glitter balls on the ceiling all very kitch!
I love camden and love to go here for a long weekend and trall the markets for goodies and go for drinksin the great bars and pubs, The hotels are lovely but again can be quite overpriced! Only go if you have serious spending money expecially if you like the goth/rock/metal scene!, You have been warned!!!

This is a pretty cool place to go an shop, as I have found some stunning one off vintage dresses in the vintage shops, and ones I''d cleaned them up a bit, they became my favourites for a good few years, be warned though the vintage shops are generally better for women with smaller sizes. The markets alot of fun but dont expect anything high in quality, definitely worth a wander round. Theres some cool earthy shops selling stuff for your house, perfec if you''re redecorating and you want something a bit different. I''ve heard the bars around here are pretty good but can get a bit rowdy.

I have been to Camden a lot of times over about 10 years! My auntie always goes there to get our xmas presents because she is a bit hippy and likes homemade things.
There are several markets here. One is quite small and outdoors, it has quite a lot of stalls packed together with mainly goth and hippy clothes and some earring stalls. Its very crowded in this one on a saturday and its more alternative.
Across the road is an outdoor food area, you can get chinese, pizza, indian, thai. There are so many different foods to try there its a great place to have lunch. This is attached to the covered market which has a lot of homemade jewellery that is a bit more expensive than the other markets. Theres a few more goth shops and alternative clothing stalls. Its in a beautiful building, and some of the shops turn into clubs on a night!
Its easily reached by the tube which takes you right into the centre of Camden, this links to all the major railway stations.
This area has a lot of pubs, some are quite rundown and not very nice but some have a good atmosphere and relatively cheap drinks.
You might even see Amy Winehouse around at night as this is the area that she lives in.
If you are a tourist or visiting London for the first time, I recommend visiting Camden as it is busy, full of different characters and is a great place to spend a few hours.

Camden is briliant.. if only for the experience!!! There is such a lively and vibrant atmopshere here, which could be a little scary cuz it is absolutely filled with gothic shops.. but also some really funky vinatage and charity shops!! Great if your lookin for something really original!! There is usually a big market there, just a little walk from the tube station.. not far at all!! This is great.. its absolutely packed full of random stuff - which you can compromise on prices too (always a gooden!!!!!!!!).... There are some quirky little restaurants, bars and cafes too to enjoy!! You can sit along the canal in the summer (or the winter, but it could be a bit blustery!!).... which is lovely!! Just a brilliant place to visit in london...
