Dartford has fairly cheap housing here and has good train routes for those wanting to commute. It located close to the M25 and easy access to the water crossing. Bluewater is located close by so good for jobs and obviously shopping. There are plenty of good schools to chose from here. The town has a mixture of shops but good for all your basic needs. Dartford has a large park which also has an athletics track here for those into sports. There is a large libary and also a museum here for you to visit. Up in West dartford there is a heath so if you want to cycle jog or take the dog for a walk. Also there is oakfield park as well which is good for the children. Dartford is also home to fairfield gym and the Mick Jagger centre. Dartford also has a large A and E department at Darent Valley Hospital. There are 2 nighclubs and late night bars and pubs and several cab companies. There are plenty of take aways tp satisfy you after a night out.

Ideally situated close to the Blue water shopping centre and just after the M25 river crossing, Dartford is a thriving small town just inside the Kent borders with a population of around 90,000. I;ve often stayed close to Dartford at the Dartford Bridge Hilton, and often travelled by taxi to the train station which has excellent links to London in under 45 mins. Was always impressed with the friendly local cabbies, and one particular incident stuck in my mind - it was a couple of years back when the tour de france had been brought for a stage in Britain, and part of the route went through Dartford. When I asked if he''d seen any of the race he smiled and said - no but I tell you what, when I was driving out last night where they put the hay bales out to line the route they should have thought about how many rabbit owners there are in Dartford - lets just say a few bales weren''''t quite all there the next morning!! For a good beer up I recommend the courthouse pub in Spital street and the Thai n Chinese noodle place down on Lowfield street should fill up all but the most ravenous of appetites.
