Ham is a quiet residential suburb that lies between Richmond and Kingston. It runs alongside Richmond park and is host to one of the borough''s better state schools, Grey Court. Ham has become a very popular residential area due to its natural beauty and great location between two important towns. Ham also benefits from a couple of decent bus routes running through it including, but not limited to, the 65 which connects Kingston to Ealing Broadway. Ham''s location was a very strategic one as it was located inbetween the royal courts of Richmond and Kingston. Ham was predominantly agricultural land but it is possible to see the scale of some of the traditional buildings by paying a visit to Ham House.
