Got to admit it this is a very beautiful place as it has much greenery around. I went there for a visit and loved it but as for living there I have heard that the people of Hampstead are not very welcoming but saying that you get people like that nearly everywhere. This is close to the main city and does have a good night life. The place is full of but town houses which are very beautiful.

I love Hampstead. Its filled with the most beautiful and big town houses as well as the best cafes in London. The heath is a wonderful place for people to relax and the people in Hampstead are very friendly, especially all the young mothers. The cafes are always filled with locals and though they are expensive, the quality of the food cannot be beat! I recommend the new Indian Cafe Chaiwalla located just of the High Street, or the fantastic cheaply priced Creperie (the crepes are amazing here!). There are a lot of hair salons and pubs in the area, as well as a very old fashioned and cosy cinema. I wish I lived here!

When I first arrived in London after finishing college many moons ago, I was lucky enough to find a flat-share in Hampstead from the Evening Standard. I lived there for 2 years. I didn''t know the area before I moved in, but was really, pleasantly surprised at what a great place it is to live in London. It was then - still is - very cosmopolitan and vibrant but is now far less bohemian and colourful; it is so much more expensive now to buy or rent there than ever it was.
Nevertheless, the Heath has been well preserved and the whole area is a fabulous amenity so close to the heart of London. Transport links are pretty good - the no 24 bus still goes from South End Green through to the West End and down to Westminster where I used to work, then there is the Northern Line to Belsize Park and Hampstead as well as the overground from Hampstead Heath.
Hampstead is a beautiful part of london, which has the most amazin houses located. it is a good distance from central london, it is close enough to just pop into the city on a night out or for work, but far enough to escape the busy city life. it has many green areas eg. hampstead heath. i would recommend a crepe from the famous creperier in the village, just look for the long queue, its well worth the wait!
