I have lived in Otley for almost 9 years now. Otley as a market town, that has numerous retail shops and more pubs than you could imagine. There isnt much to do in Otley though, and as a young person i find this rather disappointing considering the amount of young adults and children there are living here. One of the main focus points to Otley is the Chevin. Its a great place to go if you fancy a walk through fields, trees and wooded areas. Also once at the top of the chevin, the view overlooks the whole of Otley, it looks amazing. The river wharfe is also a special feature to the small town, the park alongside it, is a great place to go during the summer months, whether it is to feed the ducks or to have a kick about in the sun. The park also has a childrens area that can provide hours of fun, with a rnge of swings, roundabouts and water toys. There are many primary schools, and a large grammer school, Prince Henry's, that accomodates children aged 11 to 18. They have some great facilities and a wide choice of courses for those who want to undergo further education. I studied here, and have plenty of memories that will never be forgot. As well as all the shops and pubs, there are some great fish and chip shops, in particular the cove has some of the nicest fish and chips i hve ever tasted.
