A lovely little coastal town with a wide selection of attractions and amenities.

The local area is stunning with the dramatic coastal scenery, Bass Rock, Isle of May, Fidra and boat trips to visit these. The town has a volcanic plug as a dramatic backdrop, Berwick law. This is a popular local walk with wonderful views across to Fife and the Lammermuir Hills. The Law is topped with a cairn, ruins and whale bones - now sadly replaced with replicas but still worth seeing.

The local shops are diverse and include some national chains such as Woolworths and Boots.

There's an excellent range of cafes, coffee shops, restaurant and the well known Seabird centre.

To be honest there's too much to do and see from golf, local beach walks, children's play parks, antique shops and galleries. Tantallon castle and Dirleton castle are only a few miles away and there is also a direct train link and bus service into Edinburgh.
