I have lived in newton le willows for approximately 9 years now and still undecided whether its somewhere i would want to stay living.
On a good day newton le willows is great. Sunny days can be spent in one of the many big parks that have lots of areas for roaming around, letting the kids play on the climbing frames or even taking advantage of one of the park benches and settling the family down for a picnic. Loads of grass spaces as well so you can have a cheap day out with the balls, bikes, etc.
Then you have the canal, at the right time of the year you can see all the baby birds, watch the fisherman and enjoy a nice relaxing walk.
For those of you who like to shop, Mondays and Fridays are our market days. Friday is the better day of the two, as the market is a lot larger. Saturday also has its own second hand market, also worth a look.
Plenty of other shops to have a browse around and since we have two train stations and one bus station in the area, we are easy to get to and from.
Also, for the night time, there is the high street in newton. There are plenty of bars and places where you can get something to eat. Then in nearby earlestown, there is the local nightclub where you can dance away till the early hours.
Worth a visit.
