There isnt many shops here but there is a reliable train service to leeds and other destinations if you are wanting a day of retail therapy. But still Knaresborough is still a lovely place to visit, there is so much to do and see such as visiting Knaresborough castle and mother shiptons petrifyng well. There is also a market which opens once a week, it does get very busy but definately worth visiting. Whilst out and about in knaresborough there is plenty of cafes for you to dine in and also a couple of little pubs. This is a family orientated place.

Located in north yorshire knaresborough always get forgotten about due to its very popular neighbour, Harrogate. Nevertheless, Knaresborough has much to offer. There is a market everyweek, which is more than ideal for picking up gifts, items and products which are useful in everyday activities. There are some lovely little cafes and restaurents where you can enjoy a quiet meal. There is also a small collection of shops to choose from, although they are nothing like the highstreet stores you will find in Leeds or York, which may i add are only approximately 16 miles away. Its a very quiet place to venture too, but has much to offer. An example of its sites include exploring the very popular and well known knaresborough castle, which is ideal for adults and children alike.
