Malham is a village in Craven, North Yorkshire, . The surrounding countryside is well known for its limestone pavements and other examples of limestone scenery. The most obvious tourist attractions are Malham Tarn, Malham Cove, and the Watlowes valley.
When at school we went for a school trip to Malham cove, and it was gorgeous, and had a walk in the little stream and watching people climbing the rocks, it was a fantastic experience, just a train ride there and back, but it was so gorgeous to see

Malham is a very beautiful place in the Yorkshire Dales. The scenery around there is spectacular with a lot of limestone and green rolling hills. The big attractions are Malham Cove - a huge limestone cliff, and Gordale Scar - a dramatic gorge. As you would imagine being so picturesque it is a very touristy area and although it is small there are plenty of places providing accommodation and food in the village, including two pubs. It can get quite crowded in the peak holiday season, so may not be the place to ''get away from it all'' as I discovered when I stayed at the campsite recently and didn''t get much sleep due to some other noisy visitors. Still, the scenery does take one''s breath away.
