Prudhoe is home to Prudhoe castle, Prudhoe golf course and a main street of shops, is has all of the essentials needed for the locals such as schools, doctors, shops and pubs.Prudhoe high School is one of the many schools in prudhoe and it holds quite alot of events such as plays. There is alot of takeaway food shops and a gorgeous fish and chip shop. Prudhoe Waterworld is quite a decent sized swimming pool with a gym and cafe, and it sometimes has the slide and inflatables on for kids which they love! There is a train station down the bottom of Prudhoe next to the river. Along the river is a nice walk and if you keep going you can end up at Newburn.
There is a small industrial estate which has a Kimberley Clark factory and a Royal Mail depot, (which is handy for picking up parcels).
I used to live quite close to the main street and on a night time it was quite lively as there a few pubs which get busy later on in the day.
Along the road from prudhoe there is mickley and stocksfield.
Prudhoe is not really a place for tourists to stay as there isn''t much to do in Prudhoe its self except from the night life, swimming pool and castle but the surrounding countryside is quite nice to visit and it isn''t too far from other places like slayley hall, hexham and The metrocentre.
