Oxfordshire is a really beautiful county with some lovely towns. Oxford is the most well known place in Oxfordshire and is reknowned for its university and gorgeous city. The countryside in Oxfordshire offers some great walks, and country pubs to visit. I have lived here all my life and would recommnend it to anyone.

As the son of RAF personal, I have had great experience of Oxford and Oxfordshire over several years. It is easy to say that my time spent in this county have been of monumental value to me. On a superficial level, all the towns and cities are pleasant and interesting and the people seem friendly. I will say however that there is much to be desired for the public transport system that rarely seems to be on time. On a more spiritual level, Oxfordshire is a truly beautiful place and my feelings for the area are particularly hard to put into words. The scenery blends from rolling hills to the intricate and historical city of Oxford itself and back out to small, humble villages hidden in the small pockets of delicacy the area seems to hold. If there was ever a county for inspirational needy writers, it would be Oxfordshire. Away from the country, the towns and cities hold much excitement and places of enjoyment. I challenge anyone to try and get bored here (and here comes the clich) because there really is something for everyone. I will say however that those looking for a true party-hard and rollicking time should probably give Oxfordshire a miss; the true love for the area will come to those who have a more "poetic" approach to life.

Oxfordshire to be fair isn''t the most exciting or largest county on earth. It''s pretty middle class but does hold some alright places. Going out wise its pretty dud and you either want to head east to london, west to bristol or up to one of the northern cities. However if you want some nice countryside, a national trust house and a cream tea then oxfordshire and it''s little old ladies will cater accordingly. Best place is probably oxford, a really pretty city with a fair amount to do, I wouldn''t like to say which is the worst but there are a fair few villages and towns which are basically just a road and a few antique shops.

I really like this county, and within it theres a city or town that can provide pretty much whatever you''re looking for. Theres Henley-on-Thames, where the regatta is, and the city of Oxford, which is a lovely city with beautiful buildings and lots to offer, including two veyr popular and much praised universities. Theres a huge amount of variety amongst the towns of oxfordshire, and so you could drive from a pretty rural setting to a vibrant and urban one in an 40 minute journey at the most. I''d say this is one of the most expensive, but classiest counties there are.
