This is quite a pretty and well rounded town, perfect place to set up a family home as theres some well priced but very nice houses round here with big back gardens, theres a bus to oxford which is useful but it nevers seems to be that regular. Theres not much in the way of shops, and there didnt seem to anything except a co-op food wise, and I''m not a fan. Theres some good quality, family run restaurats though including a clean and fast chippy and a friendly chinese.

I visited a friend who lived near Chipping Norton (affectionately known by residents and locals as 'Chippy') recently, and we went into the town a couple of times to go shopping and just for a wander round. It is a lovely little town that retains its old-fashioned feel while still having modern shops and facilities. It has 2 supermarkets, the Co-Op and Somerfield, both of which are fairly small but carry a good range of stock. The old stone buildings add to the old-fashioned feel of the place, as do the beautiful Georgian houses. Chipping Norton is close to the larger towns of Oxford and Stratford, with good bus links to both, and is situated near to the North Oxfordshire Cotswolds, which is a great area for walking and cycling. Nearby landmarks include Blenheim Palace, Broughton Castle, Chastleton House and Rousham. The town boasts a lovely theatre and over 20 pubs and restaurants. It seems to be quite a sleepy town so I don't know if it is the type of place that I would want to live, but to visit it is lovely.
