wallingford is a lovely traditional thriving market town in south oxfordshire. some lovely old tradition historic buildings and a really nice little town with quite a few small but essential shops, most very tradiional looking with great architechtial history (the lamb arcade being one - this place is a great little gold mine of antiques and a really fantastic dressmaker lady) a good range of charity shops too if thats your thing! there seems to be a good sense of community in this town and the people are chatty and friendly. you can overlook the river thames from the main bridge and the view is just beautiful.

This is a well kept and friendly town, with the odd old building with some interesting history to go have a look at aswell as some varied shops, from the one of vintage clothes and one off antique stores, to the more modern newsagenty type ones. Theres a few pubs but they''re aimed more for the older drinker in my opinion and the loos in the popular ones are not exactly girl friendly. The people are very chatty and friendly, and do like a bit of a gossip. This is a good place for a retiring couple or for a young family, they don''t have a train station though and I didn''t spot many bus stops about so if you dont have a car and you need more than the veryquiet life then I''m not sure this place is the best for you to set up house.

This is quite a nice place for taking your granny or your aunty to visit for a day, not masses going on, a few nice antique shops, some quite historic buildings. Unfortunately I have seen all this before and as there is not much else there the thing I remember it for is it''s annoying one way system. Basically a quite average town. i imagin if you have more of a snoop around there is probably more stuff than I''ve seen. Definately don''t go here for a night out.

This is a lovely little market town in south oxfordshire. It's very traditional with lots of very interesting shops that sell bits and bobs. It has a beautiful rivier running through it. Not often too busy. Good sports facilities, for example the hockey club. Amazing architecture on some of the buildings.
