This is quite a rough place to be surprisingly and I wouldn't want to live here. People don't seem to be very tolerant and theres very little to do. Its also pretty hard to get to or from from anywhere unless you drive, and the choice of shops is pretty dismal aswell. Theres some good bars, but lots of fights, and a seemingly high amount of people living in caravans or their own cars! There also seems to be quite alot of drugs flying about for a town and people are quite hostile. This might all change in the day however I wouldn't know. Some brilliantly priced flats, but I wouldn't call this place up and coming.

This isn''t the most exciting place on earth but that probably isn''t what you''d expect anyway heading somewhere so small. A few of my friends live here and I know it is a bit of a nightmare with public transport. You can get an alright night here in the pubs but weekdays are pretty dead - think sort of nights where it''s locally. At weekends a fair few people seem to come out but it is a tiny bit chavy. Pubs generally aren''t open beyond about 11 on weekdays. It is quite pretty but there are no major things to see, it''s more a town that you pass through. not bad though! Some quite nice butchers etc. to buy food.

This is quite and odd little town but it definitely has its good parts. My friend recently stayed in a very lovely flat near the centre for a good price. I Grew up in Henley-On-Thames and find the Wantage locals completely the opposite of Henley goers, but that isn''t necesarilly a bad thing. The centre can get a little rough at night but no worse than anywhere with a particularily buzzing night life. Everyone seems to know each other and there are lots of good chippys and a few restaurant jems that are worth a visit. The night life is unexpectadly alright for a town and they have some fun little pubs with live bands where you can have a bit of a boogie, aswell as many many old man type pubs where you get the feeling they''re all regulars and don''t get much business ("we don''t do orange juice"). Theres a few shops and good sainsburys, and as I said the house prices are good, a good place for young professionals in that way, but maybe not so much for career prospects. The town centre is humble but picteuresque and people are generally friendly. Its quite a distance from a train station though so a cars a must and there didn''t seem to be many bus services either.
