Shepton-mallet is a pretty small somerset town with not a huge amount going on in. It''s quite pretty and it has the scattering of shops I come to expect in somerset, baker, grocers, charity shop etc. etc. - quite refreshing to see that coming from reading where there is a mcdonalds round every corner. The square in the centre is pretty nice and I think dates back to the 1500s. The cheese shop is pretty great actually, and not that expensive. Always worth buying food from these shops when your in somerset because the quality is super duper.
