Yeovil is a vibrant market town with a population of just over 41,000 situated at the Southern Boundary of Somerset, 130 miles from London, 40 miles south of Bristol and 30 miles from Taunton.
They have a couple of art galleries, leisure centres, a golf club and driving range. They have Yeovil Town football club. There is the Octagon Theatre and the Swan Theatre, a ten-screen cinema and 18-lane ten-pin bowling alley. There''s a few places for babies, toddlers, children & youth activities. There are some nice places to visit just outside of Yeovil like wildlife parks and Stonehenge.

Yeovil is fairly bland, although the town is not far from many pretty coastal locations and some good days out such as Longleat and Cricket St Thomas. Yeovil is located close to the A303 which makes it commutable distance to Salisbury, Reading, Bristol, Bath, Basingstoke and London. The town centre has varied shops, which are ideal for a browse and better than many of the other town centres in the Somerset area, Starbucks has finally hit Yeovil which makes it well worth a trip!

Yeovil is pretty much a fairly average somerset town. It lacks the charm of its fellow somerset towns, mainly because of how commercial it is. There are some pretty bits but to me it''s basically just quite good shopping in a fairly ugly pedestrianised centre. It is useful though as a lot of the somerset towns don''t have a cinema and bowling etc. as yeovil does. It''s not massive which means parking is quite easy. They have a nice cheese shop if you''re into that. The nightlife is average, think they have a couple of clubs and a fair few pubs to drink in. Prices are average to high. I only really go there for the cinema and bowling.
