Ive lived in stoke on trent for 10 years before moving back to hull and i have to say i didnt enjoy my stay there. I thought the streets looked really dirty and there really wasnt anything for me to do there. I enjoyed going to alton towers which wasnt too far away from there but thats about it. I think hanley ( the town center) is a it rubbish aswell, i personally dont think theres much there considering hw much there is where i live now and i got sick to death of seing trouble everywhere i went. I used to live in aabey hulton and got alt of stick because it was labelled " scabbey abbey". I did enjoy primary school though but everything changed when i got to high school because te teachers that where there made it a bad experience for me because they simply wasnt botherd! The worst thing that happend to me at school was when i got my rings converskated, they were really precious to me and when the teacher who took them left the school i was heartbroken, all the other teachers just told me the couldnt do anything about it which i thought was disgusting.

Stoke-on-Trent is a city in Staffordshire (Midlands). The city was formed by the federation of six originally separate towns and numerous villages in the early-20th century. The other towns are Hanley, Burslem,Tunstall, Longton, and Fenton. Stoke-on-Trent is the home of the pottery industry in England and is commonly known as The Potteries. Most of the major pottery companies based in Stoke-on-Trent have factory shops and visitor centres, these include Wedgwood (which also has a museum and visitor centre), Spode (offers guided tours of its factory), Royal Doulton in Fenton has a factory shop. Burleigh in Middleport is the world''s oldest working Victorian pottery. This is my favourite as it is in such a pretty setting and there is a real fire inside and you can help yourself to a free cup of tea! There are also smaller factory shops including Portmeirion, Wade, Churchill and Emma Bridgewater. There are many musuems, the most famous being the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery which hosts an amazing collection of ceramics. You will find the very famous Owl here, as featured on the Antiques Road Show. There is also the Etruria Industrial Museum, the Elizabethan Ford Green Hall, Gladstone Pottery Museum and the newly opened Ceramica in Burslem. Nearby you have Trentham Gardens and Alton Towers. You must stop at an oatcake shop and sample the local fare - they are delicious with cheese and bacon! There is a railway station and plenty of public car parks. I love to visit the factory shops as you can always find a bargain. Well worth a visit.

I have been to alton towers the theme park here, many of times with friends. It''s a great fun packed day out! When we went here the 1st place we went to was the huge crazy golf course ( i can''t play at all ) but it was soo much fun, i loved it. We took out little girl so we were kind of restricted to certain rides with her, we did go to the great water park though, It is called cariba creek, there was a great pirates boat and lovely slides and also a great lazy river, we just sat in our rubber rings and let the water take us round, caitlyn had so much fun just splashing away! She cried when we took her out.

We have also visited the tower gardens, it''s very popular with tourists and caitlyn just ran all over, theres lots of beautifull trees and plants and lovely walk ways, we also went on a few big rides with out caitlyn (obviously ) i hate roller coasters but these were good fun, we queued for over an hour for the obolivian, it''s the scariest thing since anything, dropping into that tunnel i thought my heart was going to skip a beat, only for the brave! I will never ever go on this again , i was petrified.

Alton towers have some great little cafes to eat from all over. Theres also a few nice pubs there too. This is a fab place to go, but i personally tink that you need more than one day to explore everything, so next time we go we will go for the weekend.
