Paisley is located approximately 8 miles from Glasgow. It has a lot to do and see including Paisley arts centre and abbey. Paisley abey is open mon-sat. on a Sunday it is only open for Services there is also a shop and cafe located within the Abbey. Paisley has its own town hall which is not only used for conferences but also for entertainment purposes. Paisley also has its own football club st mirren football club and a museum showing paisley shawls in addition to telling you about weaving. There is a large park called Barshaw which has a lot of grass, bmx track and swings etc. I used to go to this park when i visited relatives there when i was little and loved rolling down the hill! The shops are changing and personally i wouldn''t say for the better marks and spencers is changing into a clearance outlet. the opening of Braehead just outside of Paisley has so many shops that it looks to me that, that has had an effect which is such a shame as paisley once was a really good shopping area but now i wouldn''t go there unless i was in the area saying that there is hope it will improve again! there is a variety of pubs in the area. Paisley is also located close to Glasgow airport with good road links into glasgow itself.
