Stowmarket is a quiet area more for the older genaration but many younger ones can live here too, Its quiet in the sence that there is hardly any decent shops for young ones Heres a few of the shops:
-Select
-Yours
-Birthdays
-Carephone warhouse
-Pet shop
-Lots of charity shops. Thats just to name a few. We also have shops like co-op, asda, tesco, lidl and aldi. We also have a fab range of fish and chip shops in my eyes stow fish bar is the best but there is others theres also kebab shop pizzas indion and chinese. At the moment there is planning permision to build waitrose. They are also building a bridge to go over the train line so you dont have to wait for the trains to go past lol nightmare when you need to get somewhere!
Theres not much to do for the children/teenagers of stowmarket. The recretation ground is the best place for them as theres a skate park, and a park for the little ones swings slides and little rockers too, Stowmarket is good at contraolling anti social behaviour as there is none around here and if it is its dealt with rather than brushed under the carpet. Stowmarket has a lovely libaray that is just behind the church, there is a few new developments in the area as there is cedar park and there is also new houses in the chilton area! Theres also plans to make stowmarket bigger and better and we cant wait!
