I have been here many of times as my aunt lives here and theres lots too do.
Houghton -le-spring is a really nice place to live and all the neighbours are really friendly and chatty, they have agreat golf course which i have been on with my uncle mark ( i cant play though :( ). This is a 18 hole golf course and covered by lovely trees and greeny and causes a lot of wildlife. You can also hire out golf buggys and they are soo much fun. You can play for a whole days for 20 per person or play one round ( 18holes) for 15.00 . Buggy hires are they same price per days and rounds. They also have a cool shop on the course selling a wide range of glof balls, clubs and sets and also golf bags nd good prices and the staff are all fun, chatty and helpfull.

There is also a great flower shop here which i have used before, called flowers direct, it''s on lake road. The flowers are really fresh and amazin value for money, i got a huge bunch of lillies for under 10 and they were wrapped lovely too and i only had to wait 10minuites. Houghton le spring has good bus link to sunderland city and they run very frequently.

The houses here are mainly bought houses tht people have bought from the local council and they are all done really nice, they streets are all clean and there never is any trouble here. Overall a great place to live and theres lots of handy corner shops and chip shops too.
