Swansea is next biggest town in wales, from cardiff. Its had alot of renovation over the years and looks alot better than it once did. It has a good parking network and the multistory car park is easy to find and leads you write into the shopping centre.

The town has alot of good shops, it has an undercover shopping centre, which is always clean and has a good range of shops. There is then an outside street and this has many shops like marks and spencers, topman, mcdonalds etc.

The town is fairly clean, and has a good community spirit. It has some good restaurants, and recently a new stadium was built in morrison. There are some great out of town shopping areas in swansea, the biggest being the swansea enterprise park, which has lots of diy, home stores, furniture stores etc.

The people that live in swansea are really nice and polite and willing to help you find things that you need to know for where you want to find a shop

The town also has a university and a lesiure centre. Theres a nearby bowling alley and cinema and this attracts alot of crowds.

A lovelly part of swansea is the mumbles and this is a very beautiful part of swansea which has some lovelly sea views, and gets very popular in the summer time. There is a particularly lovelly cafe which overlooks the sea and they sell lovelly tea and cakes here. There is also some great little trinket shops in the mumbles and its good to come down here for a picnic.

Until recently i quite liked Swansea, being a big city with lots and lots going for it. It''s got shops, cheap housing, cheap living and lots and lots of fun to be had. However, yesterday I went on the grottiest train in my life from Swansea to Carmarthen (and i''ve travelled on trains in Egypt, Uganda and Kenya and Italy). The train station wasn''t great and the train was foul. I''m sure swansea isn''t too bad, but I''m never again going to be able to picture it, without thinking of that disgusting train journey that I just took.

The city of Swansea has been through a lot to get where it is. From being Copperopolis-the centre of all the world''s copper production to the Depression in the 30s which took it almost completely off the map. To make matters worse, it was bombed heavily in WW2 and almost completely obliterate before being rebuilt quickly and cheaply. This shows in much of the city still however the city is undergoing a change. The docks went through a complete change into a modern marina filled with new apartments and restaurants. In the city centre is a number of shops youd find in most cities however some of the big names are missing. Still its growing everyday and there are developments all the time. For entertainment you are spoilt for choice with two multiplex cinemas, a bowling alley, a Laserzone, theatre and excellent leisure centre which has recently been reopened boasting a magnificent pool with flumes, boat rides and wave machine. The city centre has many restaurants and cafes with a Pizza Express, mixture of fast food restaurants and Starbucks. Sadly though it is still a shabby and dare I say it chavvy but still its on the up and one of the only places to visit for a shopping trip!
