Probably the last place I would ever choose to live if I am honest. My family and myself moved here about 6 years ago and I couldn''t wait to get away. There are some nice parts but on the whole even the nice parts have their downsides. The accent absolutely drives me crazy, they change words until they are unrecognisable and try to justify why they change it (when actually you can''t understand what they are saying so a justification might be valid but who knows what they are saying). When we moved here, there was such an obvious difference in the attitudes of people from where we previously lived and in all honesty they people in the Midlands tend to pretty miserable and rude. I can''t quite see the attraction to living here myself but some people think Birmingham in particular is a brilliant place to live - yes, it is a big city and there is quite a lot to do here. However, I personally think that once you live somewhere else you realise that Birmingham actually doesn''t have that many good points apart from the Bull Ring. There are places in the Midlands where you find countryside which is quite nice and peaceful.
The West Midlands has many negatives points, and many positive points. There are nice attractions inside, such as the West Midlands Safari Park and the Bullring shopping centre in Birmingham, but there are also negative points such as being out of the wayy, which may be seen as negative to young entrepreneurs. In some ways, living in the West Midlands feels like going back a step in time racism is much more rife around here, probably due to the fact that the majority of people who live here are white British, but people are also on the whole a lot more trusting and friendly. People are quite willing to strike up a conversation in a shop, and crime levels are relatively low. I like it.
The West Midlands County is one of the most heavily urbanised counties in the UK. Birmingham, Wolverhampton, the Black Country and Solihull together form the most populated conurbation in the UK outside London, I think if your not going to the sea side...i mean come off it ...you just cant beat the beach..westmidlands is one of the best places to vist in the county !! there are just so many wonderful things to see and do. From wonderfull walks in the county side to great night life in the pubs and clubs of woverhampton or brum. There are zoos such as Dudley zoo, churchs and cathedrals such as coventry cathedral. If you like chocolate...yum who doesnt lol cadburys world is a fantastic place to go and see, theres the sea life center and then the foot ball grounds such as Villa Park ,The Hawthorns,Molineux stadium i could go on and on. the west midlands is a wonderful place for everyone to go.
