Arundel is a beautiful town, with Arundel castle being the prominent feature of the town. The landscape surrounding Arundel is equally gorgeous with a river running through the town and the downs as a backdrop.
Arundel town centre is situated on a very steep hill so is very tricky for the less abled or for those with pushchairs. The castle is also in a very hilly area and has the same problems, but you really need to try and beat the incline and enjoy the view-its very much worth the struggle!
The town has many little antique shops and other small quirky shops including a whole shop dedicated to walking sticks or castle chocolates with lovely choccies. Next to the the castle is a lovely little nature park that has a large lake that you can walk around and an ice cream hut so you can sit by the lake and watch the swans and enjoy the views. There is also an RSPB nature reserve further down the road, which is expensive but is great if you make a day of it- children love it.
Another place in Arundel that is great for children is the flying fortress- a great big indoor soft play adventure park that will run your little kids ragged- its super!
Arundel is a very calm and relaxed town, the whole place has an atmosphere of tranquility and peacefulness, its lovely.

Arundel is fantastic little town with its very own personality! There is an amazing castle and a beautifully historic cathedral. There''s a wide variety of shops, boutiques and coffee shops and pubs too!! Arundel is steeped in history and makes a great day out to explore every nook and cranny!! There is also a boating lake where you can hire a boat or feed the ducks and take a walk around. A truely magical town to visit.

Arundel is a beautiful town overlooked by an impressive castle. It has a nice selection of shops and restaurants and places to stay for a nice weekend away. It has an open air lido which is great in the summer, the adults can relax on a deckchair while the children splash about in the pool. There is also the Arundel wetlands centre which is great to go to as long as it hasn''t been raining, its definitely a place to wear your wellingtons to. It has acres of wetland habitats which are home to all different species of wildfowl. My favorite part of Arundel is the castle which has been open to visitors for nearly 200 years and holds many priceless works of art. It is beautiful although can be expensive if you want to look round all of it. They often have open days with live jousting and other attractions. It has some impressive new gardens with water fountains which are great to relax in. Arundel is great for walking and has some lovely views. There is a very nice walk from the castle to a pub called the Black Rabbit which is set on the river.

Arundel is a very lovely town with various things to do. There are a few hotel bars/pubs to have a nice drink in are a handful of tea rooms with the most tasty cream teas! There is a lovely river to walk by and feed ducks or take a boat ride. The biggest thing not to forget is the castle, bit pricey to get into and not the best I have seen but still a magnificent building. You can feel the atmosphere in this historic town and the perfect place for a lovely quiet walk. Sometimes there are craft fairs also which are great to pick up different gifts.
