Burgess Hill isnt the most happening or trendy place in the south but it does have certain things going for it. A lot of large companys seem to be moving here from Brighton which means that it is becoming quite a popular place to work and as it is only a short train ride from both Brighton and Crawley it is proving easy commuting distance. This means however that the industrial estates are expanding. There were already a lot of these estates but now they are popping up all over the town as well as around it, unfortunatly making the town look quite ugly.
The town is getting better for shopping too. There used to only be a few shops but now there is a whole pedestrianised area as well as the indoor martletts centre. This centre is also home to the local radio station and the public loos. These are always kept clean and a regularly checked so you know they are maintained to a high standard.
The Triangle leisure centre on the outskirts of the town is fantastic for swimming or going to the gym. The pool is huge with a seperate childrens area and a restaurant.
There is also a great indoor fun play centre in the heart of one of the industrial estates although i cant actually remember what this is called!
Burgess Hill overall isnt great at the moment but with the new generation of businesses to the town you can easily see that this may well change.

This is another great little treat of a town in west sussex. The town itself has great shopping facilities as well as one of the very few remaining old cinemas which i would definetly recommend if you were to visit this town. However like most towns there are places i would aviod. There are several industrial estates here meaning the town is also an important certre for local business activity
