Worthing makes a nice change to Chichester for me. It has all the shops you''d expect to find including a recently refurbished M&S and in some cases 2 branches of some shops (Argos for example). The main shopping area is pedestrianised and there is a small indoor area. You can find bargain shops like Wilkinsons to your more costly shops like Monsoon and Debenhams. The beach front is pleasant with a prom to stroll along and the usual seaside attractions. Parking is expensive in Worthing though which is a downside. You will find good bus and train services for the surrounding area including buses to as far away as Portsmouth and Brighton.

Many seaside towns hold the dubious honour of being known as ''God''s Waiting Room'' due to the overbearing poluation of elderly and retired folk and Worthing is certainly no exception! Let me try to put that theory to bed!

Worthing is situated on the South Coast of England and currently holds the status of the ''biggest town'' in West Sussex with close to 100,000 residents! You have the English Channel to the immediately to the south and the beauitful & historic Sussex Downs just a stone''s throw away. I have lived here since April 2005 and find it absolutely delightful. There is so much to see and do here with the fine selection of attractions including shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. Worthing also holds the the title of ''Best Beach & Pier of 2006''. At the end of Worthing Pier is a trendy nightclub (called ''The Pier'' unsurprisingly!) The beach and pier is a very popular attraction for the thousands of tourists that arrive every year.

Entertainment establishments are in abundance in Worthing with cinemas and the famous Connaught & Pavillion Theatres - these have seen many a famous musician, comedian and actor walk through their doors. Worthing is also home to a large museum with many artefacts dating back to the Saxon & Stone Age eras!

If Worthing fails to maintain your interest then Brighton is just a short 30 minute drive along the coast or Littlehampton is based in the opposite direction. The rail network is good with Worthing having three railway stations and regular trains to Portsmouth, Southampton, Chichester, Brighton & Hove, Gatwick Airport & London Victoria.

Worthing is a nice town by the sea. there are the usual sea side town shops etc, and Brighton is just up the road, which is better for shopping on a large scale!!! As is Littlehampton in the opposite direction. I don''t like the one way system there as I always get lost, however if you know where you are going its a lovely place. There is a massive sports centre there which hosts loads of different sports and has all sorts of activities for the kids. Walking along the front is pleasant. Access is via A roads therefore allow extra time for this cos the motorway isn''t on the doorstep, but ita easy enough to get to. Worthing is situated between the south downs which are a lovely place to walk and get fit!

Worthing is a pleasant seaside town with a pier and lovely promenade to take a stroll along. There is a wide variety of shops and bars and always something to do. In the summer months they have a fun fair on the prom and it makes a good evening out for the children. There is also plenty of night life with clubs, pubs and bars.
