Ossett, has a gorgeous town centre, with a lovely townhall, and many good shops, my favourite bridal shop was found there in ossett, and my sister-in-law also got her wedding dress from the bridal shop in Ossett, It has 2 football team, Ossett Town and Ossett ALBION. Helen Worth who plays Gail PLatt in Coronation street is from Ossett also! If it is good enough for her, its more than good enough for me!! :)

Ossett is one of the eight villages that makes up Wakefield. It has really good links with Wakefield and many that live her mainely the younger population go into Wakefield for a night out. There are some really nice pubs in Ossett but they cater for the traditional drinker. For the golfer there is the Law Laithes golf course. The Days Inn is a really lovely place to have a drink and a chat, The Crown Cottage has some lovely food and the prices are not that bad either. The people of Ossett are really nice and kind, they are a welcoming bunch and you can ask any one anything.
