I enjoy taking my partner and kids to Yeadon. Yeadon tarn is really nice, it has a big park for the children and also an ice cream van close by. We like to take a walk round the lake watching the aeroplanes coming in or setting off and also my son loves feeding the ducks. You see people fishing here too. There is loads of grass surrounding the lake so dont forget a picnic and your football. Yeadon itself is a small village that has a few independant shops and pubs. The pubs do serve traditional ale and its just a really nice enviroment to come and chill out. The people here are friendly.

Yeadon remind me of my younger days when my parents would take me and my sisters to yeadon tarn. I still enjoy a nice walk around yeadon tarn, there is a big lake which you see people fishing in or people on there little boats, there is also a park with an ice cream close by and plenty of green to go have a picnic on or just for a little sit down. Yeadon is a small place, its very quiet but the people are very lovely and friendly. Leeds/bradford airport is close by so you can see the aeroplanes landing or setting off, this is also why yeadon is a very tourist attraction. Yeadon is full of little shops and family bars and pubs. If you are looking for a nice place to walk or if the children are wanting a day out then i would defiantely recommend yeadon. Come and see it for yourself see if you agree. :)

This small town bettween Guiseley and Rawdon is only a 20 min bus ride from the hussel and bussle of Leeds, and around 30 min to Bradford. The bus links are really good and the bus stops are well sited. There is really good acsess to Leeds Brabford Airport, which has a brilliant service to many many holiday destinations. There are alot of indipendant retailers and some traditional style shops. There are also really good local ameanaties such as Morrisons, petrol station, Home Base, Two gyms and a hotel. Ther a few pubs here to they are your typical local pubs with the regulars sat in the same seats day in day out. Yeadon hall has many theater based productions for all to see. In the summer why not have a walk around Yeadon Tarn, there is lots to do here for all ages.

Yeadon is located next door to menston and about a twenty minute bus journey away from Leeds. The town hall located in the centre of yeadon is a great place to watch many live bands and music acts, that are made up of the local community. I recently came here to see a production called ''Back to the 80''s''. I had a really good night, as did the many that turned up, we were all singing and dancing in the crowd, whilst the perfromers were doing the real thing on stage. There are many shops, although there not highstreet clothing stores and huge restaurents, its more independent shops with the odd travel agents and greggs. The unit is a popular place with many during the wekend, mostly because of the variation in music and lively atmosphere it has to offer. For the chavs their is rumors, id reccomend not coming here, as the crowd that is seen here are mostly those who want to fight and cause trouble. There is a small morrisons, as well as a lake, which is a perfect place to enjoy a picnic with a few friends or family during the summer months.

Yeadon is one of the busier suburbs of Leeds, with a couple of nice pubs, and some lively bars on the High Street, it can be a nice alternative to going into the city centre for a night out. It has a good-sizes Morrisons, and a good number of smaller shops, including a butchers, bakers and greengrocers, as well a couple of banks, estate agents, jewellers and charity shops. For a peaceful walk, Yeadon Tarn is very nice, and there are canoes for hire in the summer, as well as a sailing club based at the lake. One thing Yeadon is lacking, is a secondary school, with most eleven year olds from the area often having to travel a couple of miles, to reach the nearest schools in Rawdon and Horsforth. There are however, quite a few primary schools and playgroups, and the school bus services operating in the area are generally very good.
The other good point about Yeadon is its proximity to Leeds Bradford airport, an ever expanding local airport that now flies to some quite exotic locations such as Barbados, the Canary Islands, and Egypt, as well as a lot of UK and European destinations. Much easier for anyone in West Yorkshire to get to than Manchester, it''s a much appreciated local amenity.

I have a friend that lives in Yeadon so I am more than familiar with the going on''s of the town. It is very small, but a rather pleasent place to be. Yeadon Tarn is probably the most well known area of Yeadon. The lake is great. It has a range of beautiful boats on the lake, that are seen been sailed from one side of the lake to the other during the summer months. There are regularly men and children fishing as well, and families feeding the wildlife than can be seen. The walk around the lake is just a little more than a mile, and is very refreshing to walk around the lake during the summer. There are a range of lovely pubs, that attract people that rae both young and old, and there are a couple of nice bars. The Unit is the most popular bar. It serves a range of food during the day, and at night turns into a lively but sophisicated bar, which plays a range of music and becomes very busy during the weekend. Rumours is also popular with many people, and fridays hosts a bassline night, although the majority of the people in here are underage. There are a range of shops and a great supermarket to shop in. There is also a regular bus service that people can use to get to and from Leeds, Bradford, Otley and Ilkley.

Yeadon is a small town located next to Guiseley. It has a small population making it a quiet place in comparison to the centre of Leeds. It has some lovely shops, and great facilities. I tend to come to yeadon if i want a change from the busy city life, i like to sit and enjoy a drink in one of the few bars with a small group of friends. I also got a tattoo in Yeadon, which i was more than impressed with as the price was so slow, especially when i had been given a quote by Pagens (in Leeds) which was almost twice the asking price of the shop i went to in Yeadon.
Between High street and the airport runway, Yeadon Tarn can be found. It can be described as a huge lake. It attracts many people due to its quiet and relaxing environment, and makes a great place to go for a walk, especially during the summer months. In summer you tend to see people sailing on the lake and others feeding the many ducks and swans that live here. Its beautiful. Its also great for those who enjoy bmx biking, as there is a biking track located next to yeadon tarn.
