Headlingley is full of students and yound professionals trying to make it in the big world. There are many bars, clubs and pubs that have happy hours which is good as the students will be on a budget and should really be spending money on other things. There is also many places to eat out such as KFC n subway which is also good if the students havent got time to prepare there meals. As im no longer a student and have 2 children headlingley would be the last place i visited as its not very family orientated at all. However if you are young, a student or not this could be a good place for you - cheap beer and plenty of little take away shops!

Headingley the studentts den I call it is located very close to the universities only a short bus journey to or from Leeds City centre. Much of the accommodation is widely used by students Headingley As you could imagine amass with pubs, much to the enjoyment of the student population. Headingley is also home to the largest beer garden in Leeds. Sports are the other main attraction Headingley cricket ground the lords of the north and The Leeds Rhinos rugby league team. Shops places to eat, to numerous to mention. Each group of students has their own favourite. A great place to be as a student.

Well as mentioned, headingley is a place for the students and young working professionals. With a wide choice of student houses and accomodation its perfect for those studying in the city centre. There are a small selection of bars and pubs, including the orginal oak which is popular all year round, thanks to its lively atmosphere and huge beer garden, i couldt think of anywhere else id rather be in summer. The arc is also another favourite, with its large balcony, is perfect for a drink in summer, as you can sit and watch the world go by, and with really cheap drinks prices, what more could a student want?

Headingley,is the place to be if you are a student and has a huge student population which is reflected every where. The bars and pubs all have happy hours like the Sky Rack, The Angel Inn and The Box. I love going here for the charity shops as they are almost like vintage clothing shops for that original look. There are lots of fast food shops like, Subway and KFC and some deli shops to. Its not just the every day life that makes Headingley a world wide attraction, oh on theres more!!!! Headingley has the famous cricket ground named after it''s self where all the grets in the cricket world have played, Ian Bothem, Graham Gooch, Alan Lamb and Capel Dev. Due to the fact that it has a huge intrest the houseing is expensive and in some places over priced. There is a cinima just off the main road called Cottage Road, this is a small cinima but its cool just for going to catch a flick with your mates! Leeds city center is within walking distance (for some of the more fiter people) however i catch the bus, it is what they are there for!! Plus the buses are very regular and relible.

Headingley is good for two things; students, and sport. With a large number of houses in the area being rented out to students at Leeds Met and Leeds University, the area has that vibrant, lively atmosphere during term time, that you expect when there are loads of students together, and wanting to party. During the university holidays though, parts of it have a slightly neglected feel. The famous Headingley cricket ground is one of the major attractions of the area, alongside the rugby league team, The Leeds Rhinos'' homeground.
Boasting some of the most popular bars and pubs in the city, Headingley is great for a night out, and marginally cheaper than venturing in to the city centre. Try the famous Headingley Mile, a pub crawl taking in popular establishments in the area such as the Skyrack, Headingley Taps, Woodies, The Three Horseshoes, and finishing at the Dry Dock, near the city centre.
There are also a good number of charity shops, and interesting boutiques in the area, kept alive by the student trade! Whilst lacking in classy restaurants, there are some great places to eat on a budget, one of the most popular being Bryan''s fish and chips, expensive for what they are, but bloody brilliant tasting for a chippy.

I enjoy coming to Headingley. Its full of students and is always lively. As mentioned many of the students that study in Leeds live here, so as you could well imagine, headingley is a 24 hour party. There are plenty of pubs and bars to cater to students needs, with lots of live entertainment and a viberant atmosphere, i love it just like many other people. The most popular pubs are the orginal oak and the skyrack. The most popular bar is The Box. The box is so modern and the atmosphere will blow you away, its always busy and you are often unable to find a seat, nevertheless its still the number one place to drink and watch live sport. There is also a small row of shops, which includes a clintons cards, KFC and a supermarket, where students can pick up them all important essentials. There are regular buses, and Leeds is only a 10 minute bus journey away.

Headingley is a student heaven. It is located ten minutes away from the centre of Leeds which is popular for its two huge universities and very busy nightlife. Due to its location headingley is a great place for students to live as it is close to the universities. As you could imagine Headingley has many pubs and bars as most that live here are at uni, it also has a number of small shops and restuarents. The arc is a popular place to eat and drink due to its viberant decor and uplifting atmosphere. The prices are also cheap which is an added bonus and the balcony is a great place to sit out on during the summer months. Headingley is also home to the largest beer garden in Leeds The orginal oak is popular all year round. It can accomodate numerous students inside and out. The drinks prices are cheap and the heaters are a added feature just incase it becomes a little cold. I rather like headingley as it has a laid back environement and is always a laugh when ever i go out.
