we went here for the afternoon it was quite small. we parked in a car park just accross the bridge if entering from warminster. the car park is located beside the library but there are few places so if you can not get parked continue round the road and then turn right you should get a space in there. the car park we utilised was closed off on a certain day for a market so check that out first. there are some lovely cafes for cream teas one directly over the bridge that has lace table clothes and wee china cups quite different. they have a tourist information centre the brochures are mainly located down a flight of stairs but there were two ladies in that were more than helpful. there is a lovely walk by the river there are a few shops on different streets from a post office to a grocers no major chain stores or anything like that. we walked on and found some churches there is quite a steep incline but i think if we had continued it came round in a circle or thats at least what i remember the lady in the tourist information saying. it was realtively quiet when we visited and we only spent a couple of hours as it is small but a nice place to see never the less.
