I grew up in the village of Hullavington. A very beautiful village situated just out of the Cotswolds and a 5 minute drive from the M4. It is in an awesome location due to the fact it is 40minutes from Bristol, 1 hour and 45 minutes from Cardiff and 2 hours from London. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with many famous villages nearby (Lacock and Castle Coombe) As for the village it used to have 2 pubs (The Queens Head and The Starr Inn) But currently it only has one (The Starr Inn). It has a village shop situated in the centre of the village opposite the Church, and near the village hall which has recently been renovated due to it being burned down last year. Hullavington Primary school is situated on the north side of the village, and has defiantly improved over the year; it hosts increasingly popular fetes every year. The famous jazz pianist, Jamie Cullum hails from this village! He used to live next to the church in the Coach house. There is a monthly Hullavington Timess delivered free to every household and lets you know what is happening in Hullavington, this definitely helps add to its community feel; advertised inside is the daily on goings in the village hall such as Ball Room dancing and Pelate. Usage of the Village hall is free and is full of many great memories for me due to the fact I had most of my childhood birthday parties here!
