I lived in Sailsbury for one year four years ago now and i did enjoy the time i spent here i lived in Wilton which 3miles outside of the town centre Sailsbury is famous for it''s amazing cathedral which if i remember rightly has the highest steeple you can go and have a tour around it at a reasonable price it was very interesting and the guilds were very helpful even interested in educating children, Sailsburys town centre certainly isn''t fantastic it''s rather small for a city really it has all the big named store a total lack of baby changing areas and toilets it''s worth getting a radar key from shop mobility just to make your life easier.
I do love Sailsburys out door market it runs twice a week Tuesdays and Saturdays it really brings life to the town centre and as markets go it''s brilliant i used to spend 15 a week on fruit and veg and i had loads so much value for money than supermarkets and better quality food at that it''s brilliant for cheese, olives, organics, meat, plants, that''s the areas i used it for they also sell clothes, electrical, jewelry so in my opinion if your going to visit Salisbury defiantly go on a market day.
other tourist attractions are Wilton house and Wilton carpet factory as that''s a famous make of carpet you can visit the factory and see the looms working oh and lets not forget the amazing stone henge it''s barriered off so you cant actually touch the stones thats only possible if you attend the summer solstice

we visited Salisbury in the summer and it is somewhere i would go back to a day just was not enough maybe because it was just such a nice day and we sat in some of the beer gardens by the river watching the people pass. we travelled by rail it is a bit of a walk to get to the shops though. the shops are good there from a tesco to some lovely independent shops where we found lots of different items we bought as presents. it is a lovely place to walk around. there is a large cathedral which is popular and must be seen. food wise you can get all the different types of food indian, chinese, english etc from meals to sandwhiches there is plenty of places to eat. in september they have a food festival with market stalls i haven''t experienced this i was just told about it. there are also farmers market so all in all there is plenty to do and see in Salisbury.

Salisbury is a lovely little city with a grand and beautiful cathedral and many other attractions to attract you to it''s centre. Being one of the most eco-friendly cities in the UK, Salisbury is a very desirable place to live (although this has a negative effect on the cost of housing really pushing it up and the cost of living aint cheap either). I regularly visit Salisbury and I must say that whenever I go I really am impressed by how beautiful, clean and tidy the city is in general.

A good, busy and lively town, especially when the market comes to life outside the town hall. There are the shops and franchises you would expect in there, e.g. Subways, Costa, Starbucks but what lets the town down is in terms of retail there is hardly much to choose from, especially for younger people. Example there is no topman/shop or H and M. However in terms of tourism, the town has a lot of history to offer, as the world famous Stonehenge is just a bus drive away and the city has also a medieval cathedral and castle. Hence the large number of tourists roaming the streets.
