Worcester is a beautiful city, filled with culture, art and history from the magnificent Worcester Catherdral to the famous Worcester Porcelain factories and museums. It is also home to Pitchcroft Racecourse which hosts many spectacular horse races throughout the year, attracting visitors for miles.
Of course if you are not of the cultural minded then there are still plenty of things to do such as browsing in the hundreds of shops located in and around the city centre, enjoying refreshments in the bars and pubs or visiting one of the bowling alleys or cinemas or swimming pools....the list is endless.
There are plenty of bed & breakfasts located just a short walk from the centre of town or there are some impressive hotels placed conveniently in the middle - either way you are rarely more than 5 minutes away from something to see or something to do.
The River Severn runs through the centre and you can often find boats going up and down the river - there are even a couple of companies that run boat trips should you want to experience this first-hand.
But if i had to pick one feature about Worcester to summarise i would say the Worcester Cathedral. At night, when the lights are on, it can be seen for miles in all its splendour. The sheer size of it is astounding and the inside does not disappoint either. From the grand entrance to the subtle brickwork it oozes culture and history.
